- The Canucks are getting interest in forward Todd Bertuzzi but the asking price is supposedly a goalie and a defenceman. The Flyers are rumoured to be interested but they're denying it.-SPECTOR TRADE RUMORS-
The Todd Simpson and Aebischer makes more and more sense to me now!! Think, a lot of cash freed up by Theo's contract and why sign Todd simpson when we have 4 Todd simpsons???? We need a top 4 d-man
Now that Vancouver got Noronen, think the Bertuzzi deal is dead??
My question is why would we want that headcase in our dressingroom? It finally appears that Gainey is getting the malcontents out of there, why put Bert into the mix?

how do you know he's a headcase? my experience says that players who are considered 'headcases' for the most part are great team players. but again, how do you know for sure?

I agree, and the rumour at present is that Zednik and Souray for Bertuzzi. Too high a price to pay for a guy with a lot of baggage, and would leave our defence very thin. Additionally all the cap room cleared out by Theodore trade would be used up with Bertuzzi.
Vacouver has gotten thei D and G (Carney and Noronen) so it isn't lkely we have what they'd ask for Bert. Plus, they are playoff bound and have a legit chance to go deep so why toss Bert so easily?
It almost seems like we had a chance and they wanted too much (like Ryder or Souray on top of Aebisher) ... who knows. But, I think we're done, eh?

It is pretty well known in the league..besides I am thinking that a guy who hunts down a player and jumps him from behind breaking his neck may need just a bit of a dosage adjustment in his prozac.

On the other hand... Anybody remember Claude Lemieux, Patrick Roy? These guys were far from normal.

Barry do you really blame Bert for the Moore drama? I think that showed a great bit of leadership, sticking up for you team mate, and the leagues leading scorer at the time. The Moore hit was a cheap shot, and Bert was just giving him what he had coming,
