I pray Danis is in the net for this game. He needs to play. Nothing against Huet; he's our number 1. He simply looks like he could use a rest, and Danis needs a game. I just hope Gainey feels the same way...

Should it be Danis, or is Aebischer in the lineup in time for the Bruins game?

This is a deciding game. If the habs take it, bye bye Bruins in the playoff hunt. If the Bruins squeak one out, then it makes it that much closer for the habs with the thrashers.
Anyone heading to the Garden tonight? Plenty of great seats still available which is pretty sad. They're even having student ID discount night tonight which blows my mind because the Habs are in town. Used to only use that promotion when the Whale and Nordiques came to town. Time to finish off these guys once and for all.
Bruins acquire "Cercostly" from Laffs I heard samsanov was traded but that is not on the Bruins website. I think we can win tonight we do need the 2 points.
Boston.com reports (at 4 pm) that Sergei Samsonov has been traded to Edmonton. Doesn't say who comes to the B's in return. He used to be a thorn for the Habs, but not lately. Let's hope Boston didn't get much in return.
Sundstrom doesn't look half bad so far. In fact, the whole team looks good. My only complaint would be the giveaways by defensemen in our own end. Komi made up for his with some great PK. He looks more and more like a future standout back there. I could also complain about the off-target shooting.
1-0 after two, but this one scares me, folks. The Habs had ample opportunity to put this one out of reach, but have not. I hope the missed chances don't come back to bite them in the ass in the third. Huet looks good, however, and the team is in a pretty high gear considering the busy road trip. Let's hope they can finish it. A win would be huge.

The old Ribs would of layed an egg on the ice after that little spear from Boynton. Have to give him credit for reacting in a more positive way! The little guy is playing tough and showing more grit every game!
Good road victory, and great to see another shutout from Cristobal!
So 4-1-1 on the road trip - I'd say an unqualified success! We said this trip would make or break the Habs, and they surely rose to the occasion. I'm very pleased with the boys at the moment.
On the other side of the ledger, if I were a Bruins fan, I'd put a bag over my head. Man, what a dispirited, disinterested, disappointing group. If not for Thomas, this one would have been 7-0.
Go Habs!!!!!!!!!!!

Ha ha, good one AB. You should have heard the NESN announcers on that one. Let's just say that Ribeiro isn't making any friends or impressing anyone with his toughness.
But I'm not complaining. He got the Bruins off their game, and it was subtle enough this time. And he showed willingness to be punched in the face to get an advantage for the team. Which is something. Every team needs a useful jerkoff.
On the whole. Good game from the Habs, though pathetic finishing from nearly everyone. I was happy with all four lines, and the defense was solid. Huet seems to be back. But the reality is, the Bruins looked so awful (at home even), it's hard to know what to think of that game.
Did I not tell you that Ryder can pass? He and Zednik couldn't finish their 10 million chances, but both of them did a lot of other things. With Ryder, I saw at least 3 killer passes. Good vision, passing and chemistry on offense in general tonight.

I'm only disappointed Begin felt the need to jump in (and why didn't he get a third man in penalty?). I would have loved to see Ribeiro in a fight, especially against a tough guy like Boynton. I'm sure it would have been most entertaining.

The guy got speared after the whistle and Boynton may get a little suspension. How was he supposed to react? He can't win, can he? If he falls to the ice, he's a whimp and if he defends himself, you're still not happy???
The anouncers were on him until they seen the overhead view and then realized he got speared!
By the way, if he's a jerkoff, what does that make Saks? Ribs has been playing better than him for at least the last ten games!
