Eastcoaster, very proud of heritage - you had to be a fan.  I discovered that song only a little over a year ago, it was on the CBC (Definatley Not The Opera or something like that) and only just found a copy of it (on the internet, I don't think he'll mind, he's been dead since '83(?)).  It is quite the site to see my four year old son walking around singing "Goddamn them all." His mother is sooo proud.  Besides, isn't the chase for Lord Stanley's Cup turning into a quest for American Gold?

I note you live south of Hamilton.  Stan Rogers actually grew up in your neighbourhood.  He's always classified as a Maritimer since both his parents are from Nova Scotia (Canso and Amherst), but he's actually a born-and-raised Ontarian.  I regret never having seen him play, although I have that great CD of his concert in Halifax (along with all his other stuff, of course).  I also love his brother Garnet's material, and have seen Garnet live about 15 times.
