Sadly, the former GoHab insider and goaltending expert could not make it, so the event was cancelled.


However, with a new paramour in Halifax, the Barryster is sure to return soon, and the event will get rescheduled.


Also upcoming is the big East Coast Trip for Johab and his brass band.  Stay tuned....................

Speaking of which, i wonder if there is any possibility of meeting you and the gang while im down there, we run a tight schedual, and i think the only spare time i have is while im at the hotel, but i dont know what they will say. Couple months to go!!! And Nil d, Do you know anything about the Citadel Hotel in downtown Halifax? Any good? Would you recommend it?? Thanks!

You could probably get a better price than the bland-o (*) Citadel, but hard to beat that location.

*bland-o: And-o with bl instead of bs.

The Citadel Inn, like plouf says, is a little bland, but it's a fine place to stay.  They have a good restaurant with a great Suday brunch.  And you can't beat the location - smack downtown; right next to the Metro Centre, next to historic Citadel Hill (hence the name), Scotia Square (large shopping complex), close to the Casino (if that's your cup of tea), and a quick downhill jaunt to the lovely waterfront, which starts to get busy in May.


And about a five-minute drive from the house of Nil d.

Well, its no Boston Sheraton but it sounds nice enough, i guarentee it will be the "Quality" Inn we stayed at in Florida....Then again for the price it was costing us to go, i wouldnt be looking for a ***** Hotel down there either.
