Seriously??? This guy could not motivate a virtual 'dream-team' of superstars to even compete with the likes of the Swiss let alone guide them to a gold medal at the Olympics.
How much worse of a job could a guy do and still retain a NHL coaching job???
Obviously someone high-up at MLSE likes Quinn...or Paul Maurice would be coaching (who is clearly the next in line to lose in T.O.).

I agree And-o. It seems we were both thinking Laffs at the same time as I also started a Laffs thread.

Lime feels the same as Ando on this one...Let's see what he's done over his carreer as a coach:
This year is his 19th year coaching in the NHL.
He's had 3 years where his team had a sub .500 season (not bad).
He won coach of the year in 79/80 & 91/92 (not bad).
The team's he's coached only missed the playoffs once in 19 seasons(not bad).
BUT HERE'S WHAT MAKES YOU OR BREAKS YOU AS A COACH:
He only made it to or passed he 3rd round three times in the playoffs (Not very Bowmanesque at all). Never won Lord Stanley.
...and totally off topic...he looks like a crouchy drunk! I get demotivated just looking at him.
its funny cuz i was just watching somthing on domi about him playin in his 1000th game. they were makeing a big deal about how a tough guy lasted so long in the nhl i kinda chuckled to myself and said "the only reason hes lasted this long is because he plays in toronto" i have to say i was hopeful for a leafs habs playoff series but it might be sweet to see the laffs miss the playoffs intirely

I hate to be ignorant, but I've never seen CSI (or Law and Order for that matter, must be the only person in N America not to), but is that the program where you can see what someone would look like after 20 years? If it is, I'd love it, and would have no fear boring my friends to death at parties with it...

Given the parameters of what it appears to to take to get fired as coach in Toronto, I am thinking CJ could have coached there for life.
