.............................even Pittsburgh has scored more goals , is it our system ? , if the Habs are too advance in the playoffs we are going to need more goal production ..the question ! why aren't the Habs scoring more goals ??

I believe And-o has the definitive answer to that question.

Goal scoring is not the exclusive domain of the teams centers. The Habs transition game which could initiate odd man rushes is almost non existent. Outside of Markov the Canadiens do  not have another defenceman who consistently can push the puck up the ice effectively. Upfront, the Canadiens don't have anything resembling a power forward who can cycle the puck down low and be a physical presence in the opposition end. Other than Kovalev and Ryder the team does not have much in terms of wingers that have quick releases and a strong shot. As a result, even though the Canadiens do have good team speed, their lack of size and skill negates the offense. Sure it would be nice to have higher scoring centermen but the club has deficencies in other areas that contribute to or lack of scoring.

Sounds like you would be a fan of bringing in Bertuzzi.  Even if it meant giving up Souray?

Souray for Bertuzzi? That is a tough one. Not a big fan of Bertuzzi's play this season, and his penchant for bad penalties is not good. He carries a lot of baggage. Souray is finally coming around, and the Canadiens would be very thin on the blueline without him. If I felt very confident that Bertuzzi could rebound to the form he was in the last regular season I would grudgingly make the deal. I suppose I am waffling, guess that is why I am not a gm!!!
