I actually think most "personal attacks" here are in the spirit of good humour. I for one get a kick out of And-o's quirky banter. And I think And-O may have been trying to help the smoking cessation of heet in his own bizzare way...I think.

But getting back to hockey...I do get that people demand allot() from Koivu, but what do they expect? He has never been a mega point producer. That's not what they signed him for( kinda like a Muller type...not the same type of player, but in that they are vital for reasons other than point production).

The habs signed him for all the other great rare intangibles that he has. Ironically, he was given big bucks for his pride, leadership, and tenacity...the very thing some on here question. But why question?...It's just fact now...ask Gainey, Carbo, CJ, Savard etc why he has been captain for so long...he is truly a great leader and player. Why not give up the constant negativity and simply accept how important he is to any success the habs will have...i.e fan support?

Amen! Unlike other teams, in the Habs recent history (last 25 years), the Captains have not been players who were goal scorers. They were chosen for the qualities you mentioned above. Saks without doubt has those qualities. I see the light at the of the tunnel...hopefully the other posters will to.

Muller- I agree that much of the posts are in good fun. The porblem with typing rather than speaking, is sometimes the humour goes unnoticed (like when Mrs Hab attacked me hehehe). I do hope that everyone, pro or anti Koivu, understands my position. I just do not treat him any differently than anyone else. I guess mayve I expect more of him but I can tell you from meeting him, he expects more from himself. CJ expected alot of him. I am first in line to praise the guy when he does well, but I will also constructively criticize him when I feel he deserves it. As I do each and every guy on that team. No free rides here. I guess I tend to post like I coach. I am probably much harder on my better players (just ask my son who oplayed 9 years for me) than I am on my average guys. Because I KNOW they can do better and I push them to excel. 2 seasons ago on this site I was one of the biggest Saks supporters. But I KNOW that this season has not been his best. He has shown me flashes of the old Koivu (much like Kovalev does). This season Saks has been like a stripper at Chez Parez...he shows you just enough to tease you then..takes it away for awhile (how is THAT for an analogy? Only Barry could link hockey with stripping lol.

Many have said before that Theo needs to lead us to the playoffs. Well that one is out. So now we need Saks to lead us. Playing tired the other night and contributing was a good start. Give 'er Saks!!

(By the way, just so you guys know..I have an autographed picture of Saks on my livingroom wall..so I do not think I fit into the hate category)

As a Pastoral Counsellor (not Psychologist) back home, one of the Workshops I give is Anger Management. Here is a list that some might find interesting! lol

If we have any universal fault, it is hiding our anger from ourselves. Here is a checklist to help you determine if you are hiding your anger from yourself. Any of these is usually a sign of hidden or unexpressed anger.

1. Procrastination in the completion of imposed tasks
2. Perpetual or habitual lateness
3. A liking for sadistic or ironic humour
4. Frequent sighing
5. Over politeness, constant cheerfulness, attitude of grin and bear it
6. Smile when hurting
7. Frequent disturbing or frightening dreams
8. Over controlled monotone speaking voice (Mr. Anderson…)
9. Difficulty in getting to sleep or sleeping through the night
10. Boredom, apathy or loss of interest in things you usually enjoy
11. Slowing down of movements
12. Getting tired more easily than usual
13. Excessive irritability over trifles
14. Getting drowsy at inappropriate times
15. Sleeping more than usual, maybe 12-14 hours a day
16. Waking up tired rather than rested or refreshed
17. Clenched jaws – especially while sleeping
18. Facial tics, spasmodic foot movements, habitual fist clenching and similar repeated physical acts done unintentionally or unaware
19. Grinding of the teeth - especially when sleeping
20. Chronic depression, extended periods of feeling down for no reason
21. Chronically stiff or sore neck or shoulder muscles
22. Stomach ulcers or psychosomatic illnesses
23. Constant anxiety
24. Eating disorders, stuffing or starving
25. Compulsive talkers (Won’t stop, Hidden messages, angry outbursts, “but”)
26. Mutism
27. Sweetness
28. Gossip
29. Verbal sadism - ventilate in extreme - profanity not necessarily appropriate

I hear that! I think a lot of people can identify with these... some more than they would like!

This is an ironic post for me as it seems to me that you are the one with with an anger management problem.  You have lots of hockey knowledge (much more than me, I admit) but your posts are not in good fun and downright nasty most of the time.  Hope you are not charging for your course.

You might be right (and very nice) Mrs H, buut every good stew needs to have some course salt thrown in for flavour, and I don't think the broth would be the same here without seeing Ando's mocktacular musings....

Have to agree there. I don't agree with him about anything, but he is entertaining in the way villains are usually. Can you imagine this board without an antagonist like And-o?

Far as I can tell there's no sense to those posts anyway. It's all about getting attention.
