An End To It All!!! Finally!

Concerning the "Day off" Soap Opera...and Ribs comments towards Saks leadership. WE HAVE NOW ALL LEARNED THAT IN MTL IT'S GUILTY BEFORE YOUR PROVEN INNOCENT and not Vise Versa. I hope this a lesson for all of us not to believe these articles right away.

Below is an end to the uncertainty whether Saks wanted to play or not. RIP!

These are direct quotes from Saks' mouth! Let me know if someone needs a translation.

The guy which returns from Turin are perhaps not given to 100 %, but it is necessary nevertheless to play, explained the Finn before the match of yesterday. It was not question only I not missed a match even if I am tired. There is nothing which could have prevented to me from being formation (yesterday evening)

I love the translation tool in MS Word.  I can get the gist of the quote and at the same time I get a laugh at the literal translation. (After I asked for a translation, I went and copied it into word, etc., etc.)

My favorite was that "Saku Koivu never thought of requiring a leave of its trainer."

No thanks Key, I think I get it.

Basically, he was always going to dress for the game, he never was going to ask for the GAME off?  Is that essentially it?

I understood he never asked for ANY time off. But don't go by me, when I went to Quebec, I told a guy "J'ai perdu mes clés" and he said "I'm sorry, I don't speak english".

I heard a guy in Florida shouting at a Quebec motorist after nearly being side-swiped "What the hell does "je me souviens" mean? "I can't F#^#% drive?"....

Just one m ore question, though.  Where did that quote come from?  I found it hard to believe Ribeiro's comments about Koivu's leadership because it was never attributed to a reliable source (ie.-RDS, The Gazette, etc.).  I'm not implying that you are making it up, either.

Well Heet, to be honest, I learned about Ribs' comments on this message board. Not sure who posted it but it shouldn't be too hard to find. I just realized that the rumour may have been sparked by a gohabs poster...

No, no Key, I'm not saying you started either comment or rumour, I'm just wondering where the Koivu quote from above came from.

No, I know you didn't say that Heet...it's all good. What I said is that maybe the rumour was started by someone else because I've looked for the interview ever since without finding anything that confirmed that Ribs' quotes were true.
