That post where you burned And-O up was brilliant...well thought out. One of the better ones I have read actually. Tought to argue. No disrespect And-O, but that was a really good post.

And And-O...I do wear a "jofa" helmet...does that count?( kidding of course...those were some ugly helmets).

Thanks Muller, but that really isn't my style.  I'm more of a lurking in the shadows, throw in the occasional thought, perhaps a joke or a picture and move on.  I don't know if it's because of not having NHL for two weeks or because I quit smoking, but I have been on edge in the forum lately, and well, I finally got sucked into the whole Koivu thing.

As far as the Jofa helmet goes, didn't Butch Goring wear one of those (Jofa I mean).  Something seemed very cool about the way he wore a helmet that obviously wasn't going to protect anything.

And-o can picture that Mulsy!

...try wearing it on your head some time, although you likely can't hurt much taping sticks and flipping towels!  (you can still play wing for And-o...though just on JohnM's Ringette team though)

Oh and Heet's...try a nicotine patch!

...if that fails to kill the craving for a cigarette try the following;

simply pour out a can of used motor oil onto your living room rug...grind in a handfull or two of dirt...then add splashes of any toxic household cleaner to the mix...then turn around and crap on the pile...and voila...that is what y'er stupid arse lungs will look like after a few more years of smoking!!!

If that doesn't work...NOTHING will!

I'm so glad that gohabs. com's favorite window licker has decided to chime in once again.  And I thought that a few days ago, you said that you don't make personal attacks when posting.  Another statement that is a lie/half-truth/or you don't know any better.  During your days, does your "worker" congratulate you on stuff like remembering t.v. commercials (as in what is contained within cigarette smoke)?

So I guess I'm stupid.  Well, our little 35er, it strikes me as being odd, that a person who has no concept of punctuation or even a handle on the english language, would call anyone else stupid.  By having no concept, I mean no idea of the proper use.  Don't worry, your worker can explain it to you later.  For example, in a previous post you typed "Saku is signed for 3 more years…for ALLOT of $$$....so, why not actually expect ALLOT for the $$$...and not just a string of 2 or 3 games either!  TEAM SUCCESS!  Just like Muller…Carbo…Gainey…Robinson…etc."  I'm sure you meant a lot, instead of allot.  You see, a lot means many or a great deal while allot means assign or allocate.  So, like most of your posts, it doesn't make any sense, just for more than the usual reasons.  And as for the entire, well I guess it is a paragraph, seperately I recognize those words as english, but when you put them together, it sounds like someone with Tourette's.

Back in another post, you stated "Bob set Saku straight about his little brain cramp...so he should demand the same from Ribs now!"  For all of us that aren't as smart or well connected as you are, when did Gainey call you and tell you what he said to Koivu?  Or when did Koivu call you?  You have been holding out on us.  Oh, wait.  That's right, you don't state opinions, you put down whatever you feel is fact and that alone makes it a fact.  Stupid me for not realizing this.

Now, let's go way back in time.  Many, many days ago, when you were calling for Julien's head, you posted "CJ should have screamed bloody murder about the disallowed goal.  Plus, he showed no emotion about the brutally one-sided calls.....so, they just kept coming!  Also, CJ could have easily prevented Andrei Markov's shoving incident by pursuing the officials himself!!!"  Well, that certainly shows how much you know about hockey and people in general.  Should someone come along and scream, rant and rave about the officiating job that I am doiong, why, I certainly would change my tune, and reverse calls, and start calling the game in favour of their team.  Or, I would think to myself, "Self, if he thinks he's p!$$ed off now, just wait."  Julien had success in every level that he has coached at, including, to some degree with the Habs, so I would imagine that on some small level, he may have a clue as to deal with officials.  But of course, just like the rest of us, he isn't as smart as you are.

You may say that I am dwelling on one or two topics from the past.  You would be correct.  And that is because you are in fact a broken record.  Always with the Koivu slam, previously it was that Julien had become stupid overnight.  You don't offer any praise towards any player that had a good game, unless someone else that has credibility posts about them first.  I have said it before, you are not a Habs fan, you are a fan of being a Habs fan.  In other words, you like to be the only fan of the Canadiens in an area where you are probably surrounded by Leafs fans.

And this isn't in reaction to a nic fit, it is in reaction to someone who has probably been pushed around his entire life and has now found a sense of security behind a computer monitor.  You know full well that you would not throw insults around in front of people, the way you do here.  I'm not saying I'm tougher than you are or anything like that, I just know that for the most part, the biggest talkers are usually the smallest when it comes to actions.

I know that you will shrug this off and at the end of the day it won't mean anything to you, but now I feel better.  Kind of like finally getting that one mosquito out of the tent.

Well there you have it. I think basically people are sick of certain posters sticking to the the "koivu is crap" stuff. Anyone who REALLY understands the game would get it( Kinda like Gainey and Carbo...or are they stupid too AND-O?).

It's one think to harp on the good aspects of a player over and over...another to make your main theme about craping on players. It irritates people. Okay to jab away at the real poor performers such as Bonk and Ribby...I mean that is pretty tough to argue.

Clearly certain posters have personal reasons for their Koivu garbage. Perhaps that is why the habs have a heck of a time attracting big names...negativity unless the player conforms to the "culture" in Montreal. Let the guys play HOCKEY for god sakes.

Funny quirp about the ringette though And-O. I laughed which is always good. One thing I can tell you...you are not Captain Kirk..."Resistance is futile"...I am positive within the next year or two you will realize the error of your ways.. or become a fan of some lame Quebec Major Junior team instead.

Hey, let me tell you from an ex-2 pack a day guy, you never actually quit, you just don't smoke. Even 5 years later, I still get situational cravings (bar, after dinner, shootouts, etc), so keep it up, and don't feel guilty for wanting it if you do...

Thanks Brook, I have "stopped" for a significant period three times previous.  Once for 6 months, again for 3 months (my wife made me start again, because I was an insufferable pr**k) and the last time was for 9 months.  Well, like they say, don't quit quitting.

I stopped 9 or ten times before it stuck. I think it got to be such a pain stopping, that I didn't feel it was worth it..

Also, every time I crave a cig, I drink a fifth of gin... that seems to work...

I was a pack-a-day and quit for 10.5 years. It took about 10 years to not have cravings, but now I will have one here and there and I am OK. Sometimes I smoke a pipe... but not THAT kind of pipe!
