Just a comment on the trades, it is very difficult to speculate with Bob Gainey at the helm. The guy has the best poker face in the business, so potential trading partners is difficult to predict, let alone potential players. I will say this, Mark Bell from Chicago is exactly what we need, a big LW who can score. If Bob is looking at Chicago, I hope he holds out for Bell. Aside from that, I think we can pretty much agree that Ribiero and Zednik need to go, and Bulis, although we also all agree has been a pleasant surprise, may also be used as good trade bait, but expect nothing spectacular in return. As far as defensemen go, the D-men have been the most consistent performers this year, and I am very happy with their play as a unit. That doesn't mean that another D won't help, but I just hope Bob is careful when dealing for or away a D. GO HABS GO!!!!
I too would love to see Bell in a Canadiens uniform. He might be expensive though. Still, I think we have a couple too many finesse-type forwards who could go.
Check the Habs record with Downey in the lineup. It's made a difference.
Well, yes, the good record coincides with Downey's acquisition, but is it a/the cause? The hot streak also coincides with Huet's insertion in the lineup - that surely is the bigger reason?!

An arguement can be that the success is due to much better PK, to pairing Ribs with Kovy or pairing Higs with Saks. There success all relates to one thing Huet. No matter what angle you look at it. Simple, he brought back the confidence in winning games against almost any opponent.

Who is a team's best penalty killer? More often than not, it is their goaltender.
Another rumour being spread is Luongo to LA for Garon and FLA's choice of prospects.
