That last deal might actually fly, but then you weaken an already fragile blueline. No one wants Ribs or Theo as much as we hope that they do.
Remember, TB needs to free up some salary room. They did the stupid thing of giving all 3 of their top guys massive contracts at the same time. I'll bet they want that Marty St. Louis contract back - what a disapointment he's been (and TERRIBLE at the Olympics).

The trade deadline is March 9th. GB will make a trade regardless of the results in the next couple of games. The only thing that p's me off is that we might have to make a trade for a back up goaltender.

True. Zednik is still worth something. At least he isn't involved in any dressing room issues. And he's proven he picks it up in the playoffs.
Which might be a reason to keep him. Could he be our streaky goal-a-game guy in june?

funny how last season the players who were below expectations during the reg season kicked it into high gear in the play-offs and visa versa ribs n ryders rockin then quiet in the playoffs and kovalev waited till the playoffs till he showed what he can do. anyways i am curious to see just what players will make an impact this year in the playoffs (if we make it) and see who the real preformers are who the clutch players really are.
but if we do make a trade we should trade zeddy for a pack of marshmellows... i could really go for s'mores right now...
I like the idea of getting Richards. True, Tampa is in cap trouble. I think they really thought they'd easily repeat or at least be much more competitive than they have been. But what do they need? A goalie?
