In a pro hockey franchise, weather it's the Canadiens or not, if a goalie becomes a gigantic disapointment in the eyes of the shareholders, the shareholders have the choice of putting pressure on management to get rid of the problem, and we DO have a problem in Jose Theodore. None of you can deny that.

Someone said to me about Saks contract being too high "Don't sweat it Barry, it is not your money". But you see, as a fan, and given the new cap system, in a rounabout way it IS my money. If guys like Theo or whomever are gonna talk the talk and demand a big contract then they damn well best be prepared to walk the walk. In the new NHL cap money is a precious commodity. And if you are gonna eat up 5 million of it then you best be ready to perform. It is not like the old nhl where you could simply go out and spend more money if a guy underperforms.

So, Barry, you admit Theo needs get catch the bus?
I'm sick of the "holders on" in the fan base lately. To me, Theodore has been full of dissapointments since the Habs drafted him 2nd Round '94. It's becoming like Toronto back when Joseph boogied to Detroit, and SUUUUCKED. The fans kept whining how they wanted Joseph back etc...then Belfour showed him who was propping their team up.
Admit it people, Theodore must leave Montreal.
I would love to see one more Stanley Cup with the Canadiens engraved in the ultimate silver....
It's the tradition that we need to strive to preserve. (Jose isn't up to the task):

I said a long time ago that Theo needs to go..not so much for the team but for him. I think th eonly way he will come out of this is to get a fresh start. Hoe you do that with his contract I have no idea. But yesterday the french media were spying on him with theor cameras at his house, making sure he was on crutches..how pathetic is that?

Point taken, Jay, but there are goalies out there who would want to play in Montreal just as some want to shy away from the media pressures. Belfour still plays in Toronto. The media is just as tough there. Look at the Leafs this season...
And let's not forget that Cristobal Huet has seen some microphones in his face for the past few weeks, and he's handling it okay.
Jay, it's the Montreal Canadiens, not the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Who do you feel could be a viable replacement as our new starter? Let's drop some names people.

I agree, Montreal, T.O., New York and Vancouver are known for their media harshness. However for players who haven't grown up watching Habs, leafs, Rangers hear only horror stories and would rather not have to deal with it. The players who really do care about what jersey they put on regardless of media, fans, etc.. are the natural leaders and have strong character. HOwever, alot of the players would rather make extra money while living in the sun.
