I wonder if Ducks lost out when they chose Giguere over Gerber as #1 goalie?
Giguere had one great playoffs so he was an automatic #1 goalie but like Theo, could he be the one hit wonder?
I'm bringing this up because you just don't know what you're giving up until you give a goalie a chance to prove himself! Letting Gerber go to to Carolina could be just what the Doctor ordered to win them the Cup!
We gave up on Garon too early, so lets not give up on Huet yet! He could still have way more success than Theo ever had in the playoffs!
I still feel Theo's playoff performances were over rated other than a few solid games!
Personally, I didn't think Theodore was very good against Boston last time around. I was at game 3, and let me tell you, I was nervous everytime the Bruins took a shot! Their first goal was horrible. Simple weak shot that he missed... in fact, Theodore kept moving after the shot as if it hadn't gone in! And their 2nd goal that game was also very bad. Another easy shot that he should have had. He only really impressed me in game 7 when he got a shutout and made some great saves like the one on Sergei Samsonov, I believe, where he robbed him with the glove. But Boston missed a few key chances as well like when Theodore turned the puck over from behind the net.
So if we make the playoffs this year, I think it wil be very interesting to see what Huet can do.

I think you might be right there. But that MVP season was what got us back in the playoffs in the first place.
