With the last part of the season coming up after the Olympics, we have 26 games left. Our last season we finished with 93 points. We currently have 60. Meaning to beat our previous years total we need to win at least 17 games. 17 of 26? think its possible???

Possible? Yes.
Probable? No.
Even remotely probable? Yes, so we'll hang on to hope.

Love the optimism Nil d!! I sure hope that whatever we do get in those last 26 games is enough to put us in the playoffs, last thing i wanna do is suffer through the summer listening to trade rumors and whos to blame and what not....i thought we were past the "rebuilding" phase!!!!
...i do however have the Toronto Blue Jays season to look forward to!!! GO JAYS GO!!!

Haven't you been paying attention? It's Koivu/Ribiero/Theodore/Gainey/Julien/Streit/Kovalev/Dandenault/Zednik/Bonk/Dagenais' fault for it all.

As a Jays fan also , I must ask...do you think they'll win their league?
If the rocket doesnt sign with New York. I think the jays are good enough to beat out the Yankees and Sox this year. But their league...its a tough call! I sure hope they can!!

They sure loaded up! It should be an interesting season! I might miss the O-dog but other than that, they're way better!
As for the Habs, I sure don't want to miss playoffs this season after the boring lockout thing!

You forgot about Sundstrom! People always forget about him.
Oh and don't forget: Fraser, McCreary, Koharski, Devorski, etc...

How about Kovy? As important as he is to the team ( as shawn when he's out of line-up), you would still have to say he struggled also!
Can't really blame Dags anymore as he isn't here because he didn't add enough although he gave us a few important goals!
Yes, it could be a long off season but at least we have many players to blame....that in itself could eat up some time!
If you have been following the topics and posts, which I know that you have, as you are one of the tops in numbers of posts, you would have seen that everyone has been blamed for the teams woes this season; and
I was hoping that the wink emoticon at the end would indicate that I was being a smartass.

I did mention Kovalev; If you have been following the topics and posts, which I know that you have, as you are one of the tops in numbers of posts, you would have seen that everyone has been blamed for the teams woes this season; and I was hoping that the wink emoticon at the end would indicate that I was being a smartass.
Oh sorry! I missed the boat
Jokes aside, there're some I wouldn't blame. Markov/ Boullion/ Begin/ Bulis/Huet/Plecs/Higgins/Perez/Kostitsyn/ That leaves about half the team left for the off season! So there's enough to give us some topics
But really, AB, is there blame to pass around. Sure, some guys haven't played to their potential every game, but, where was this team predicted finish before the season started? I believe that most "experts" thought they would be life and death for a playoff spot. I wasn't a member of GoHabs.com back then, so I don't know what the members here thought. I would love it if the Habs were 10 points ahead of everyone else in the league, but that isn't reasonable. Since they seem to be right where everyone predicted them to be, I will find it hard to blame anyone.
Well, except for Ribeiro.

The 'experts' thought the Habs are going to end around 11-13 in the east. Of course most of us gohabs.com fans are optimistic, or just hopeful, that they are going to make the playoffs. I predicted the Habs are going to finish ahead of TO. So how about Habs 8th, Laffs 9th ....
I don't care how many points we get as long as we sneak into that 8th spot, cause you can bet that it will go down to the last few games of the season. My buddies and I call them the Cardiac Canadiens because they always seem to raise the stress/emotional/panic level. Rarely do they win a game outright, but they let the other team make it close or let them tie it up with 2 minutes remaining. How many times have they squeaked one out? How many times have they been to overtime? My blood pressure goes through the roof for 8 months of the hockey season.

O-dog's been replaced anyway. I'm very excited for the upcoming season. I went to 4 games last year and they lost all of them! So it should be interesting to see what they'll do now that they have a real team in place. I'm expecting nothing less than playoffs.
