I hope saku will start playing better. Not only a contract but a pay raise. I hope this shows he wants to stay in Montreal. Maybe this uncertainty was botherining him and that is why he was having some trouble. Lets see if he comes through for us now

he has always said that he wanted to stay in Montreal, especially after how he was treated by Mr. Gillette while undergoing chemo

I said it before..when it comes down to it., Koivu would look after Koivu.  And he has. He is a player with a history if injuries who now has a 3 year deal that will pay him regardless. Obviously that is what Gainey feels the market was demanding and that is the bottom line. I am very uncomfortable with the amount of cap room we now have tied up in Theo (yes I disagreed with the amount of money he was paid too), Kovalev (for an odd reason and someone remind me why.,.I supported that move) and BOnk.

Saks wants to end his career as a Hab. That shows devotion and loyalty. Not many players in the league have done that. The "no-trade" clause even proves his devotion to the CH more than ever. I love the thought of that.
