He is a true grinder and he has the CH tattooed on his chest. He leads by example. Bégin should of been nominated Assitant Captain without much debate.

And-o loves Steve Begin...but he has had numerous mental lapses this season that have cost the Habs some points in the standings!

However, And-o has no doubt whatsoever that Steve Begin is one of the primary leaders inside the Habs dressing rooms regardless of what is on his jersey!!!

...that guy will score a MAJOR goal for the Habs one day!!!

All appointing Kovelv does is further my argument about that dressing room being poison. "Let's make sure we keep the superstars happy and the clique in tact" He has done nothing to earn it and this will only further divide the room. Another good move Bobby boy. Let me ask you this. If you were  to hold a secret ballot free vote..do youthink the players would vote Alex the floater in?

Agreed to a certain point with you Barry. If a secret ballot was taken, im sure some of the A's would not be A's anymore. The C stays where it is, but i question Kovys leadership, hes a heck of a player, BUT Begin is a much better player by example than the 1 man show Kovalev.

BG was coached by the greatest coach of all time, Scotty Bowman. BG was one of the best players and leaders. Gotta think he knows what it takes to win. So maybe it's time to stop bashing BG people. What the bleep is wrong with you???

I often questioned AK's leadership as well.  But next time you are at a game, watch him.  The guy is more involved with the young players up front than our Captain is.  Kovy will keep his A that is almos a gaurentee.  And as for the 1 man show, look at the stats my friend, more assists than goals every year.

Point is, he didn't. I think that says enough about what Muller, Nil, key, plouf, normie, myself and many others have been posting all along. This guy brings it to the table every night. Maybe it upsets you that the team is turning around without CJ and you would have liked to see someone else pay as well...
