Overall a very good game. The guys came out flat in the first, but Huet was there! In the 2nd they were great and were rewarded, and they ended the game very well. It's nice to see Kovalev playing really well, and I like to see Bonk score, even if it was Begin who was so brilliant on that play. Overall, a nicely played team game.

Keep 'em coming!

How was Huet? 5 goals allowed in four games, two of which went into OT. And was Theo dressed as the backup?

Wow! What a great performance from the Habs tonight! I particularly thought Huet was fantastic! His inspiring effort, particularly in the saving department should be commended... It's crucial to promote him! Winning so handily is quite a difference from the last 4 games! I can't wait the next time we play, I'll be cheering loudly and waiting for my next disagreement with Habaroonie

GO! HABS! GO!

Kovalev beginning to play the way he was expected to when he was signed

what really made that last goal was Markov's smart move to draw the defender to him, effectively taking him out of the play. Set up perfect to Kovy. Someone said Markov should at least get some MVP votes with the way he impacts the Habs. He and Huet are saving this team right now and they are infecting the rest of the team. Along with Rib's new attitude. It's like the comercial on RDS with Theo "Quand on change d'attitude, on change tout." I think that's what it is - "When you change attitude, you change all"

Figaro- I agree with you. The more I see of markov the more I am impressed. He is turning into an ELITE dman in this league. In the past Koivu has had to carry the team on his shoulders. I respectfully say that the torch has now been passed and it is Markov who carries the team now. He is just so consistent. Has anyone seen him have a bad game all year? A bad shoft for that matter? Nice effort all round. I hat eto see it but I am actually somewhatg impressed by Ribiero lately. He is working hard, throwing some hits..and seems to be a setup man for Kovalev. For whatever reason, Kovalev seems to like having Ribs. I will say that Ribiero is impressing me with his passing and ability to find the open man. I always thought he wa smore of a pure scorer.

Markov's definitely the best player on the team, in my opinion, but this is the first year he's been so consistent. (Although I don't know if you guys remember, but he went through a phase of a couple weeks where he was combining good games with a bonehead mistake that cost a goal, kind of like Koivu over the last couple weeks). Anyway, it's great to see everyone stepping up.

Huet was solid, Nil!  The tying goal in the dying seconds of the third was not his fault - I don't even think he really saw it until it was behind him.

Theo was dressed.  He was interviewed after the game.  I have to say it again.  My kneejerk reaction yesterday upon hearing the masking drug news was to put a bag over my head and run from my office building.  But the more I read about this "drug" and after hearing him address it, I BELIEVE HIM.  Mrs. Hab and I are of the same mind - keep the faith.  He'll get hungry again.

But to Huet - THANKS CRISTOBAL!

That play in OT was sweet!  Kovy was all alone, Markov drew the crowd.  Perfect!

Thanks for the update, HG.  I agree with you on Jose - it's a non-event today - but I wonder if having it hang over his head since mid-December is what has been keeping him distracted?
