toronto played on tsn last night and after the game they showed the 3 stars and interviewed the toronto's goalie before he even got off the ice( all i heard was la la la etc.) the best part of it was he didn't take off his mask and scare everyone! point is , when the habs played and the game was over ,tsn couldn't wait to move on to something else!!!! tsn is suppose to be canada's sports station, canada expands further than toronto? ps ; I hate the toronto marble laffs, but I love my habs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel your pain.
But didn't you know the "T" of TSN stands for Toronto?

Having lived and/or worked in the Greater Toronto Area for the last 15 years, I have had to come to the realization that to networks, CTV, TSN, or any other canadian carrier, knows full well who their market is. It pains me that programming is geared towards Toronto. There are 5-million plus reasons that the networks cater to Toronto teams. I think that those members that live outside of Ontario can attest to the fact that at any given game in Canada and some of the states, there are nearly as many, if not more, Leafs fans. They are the team that their granfathers and fathers listened to before there was television. I hate the total lack of coverage too, but, c'est la vie.

personaly i hate watchin the games on tsn or ctv but unfortunately i don't understand a word of french so to make sure i know whats goin on i have to watch the tsn coverage but since i am a hardcore habs fan i subscribed to rds to be able to watch a game or 2 a week even though i can't understand it
I think it was extra bad because the tsn feed was what would normally just be "Maple Leaf Hockey" which i think is only available in TO. Also, the Sunday canadiens game was a "pre-superbowl" game and I don't know if they would have had the time for a post-game analysis.
All that said the commentary DURING the game was most disturbing. It was enough to make me long for an English "all Montreal" game channel. I seriously had to change the channel. Harry Neal is unapologetically the biggest leafs fan in the world.
what grates on me is the fact that "Hockey Night in Canada" is actually "Maple Leaf Night in Canada" . Even when the Leafs are on the west coast, they start the games earlier out there so they can show it as the early game out east. That's why i spend the extra $2 a month on BellExpressvu to get RDS......at least I don't have to watch that Buffoon , Don Cherry....
