Does anyone know the name of the crazy play by play man that announces the Sabers games? Also is there anyway to watch that feed if your living up here in Canada. What i wouldnt pay to have him announcing the Habs broadcasts.
My personal favorite quote by him is "TOP SHELF, WHERE MOTHER HIDES THE COOKIE JAR!!!"

you think he is good? i think he is the worse ever. i cant take his annoying voice. But anyway try the Pens announcer. He comes up with the craziest quotes. He once said, "he shoots and scores, oh he beat him like a rented Mule." i was LMAO.
I personally find the Washington one to be the most annoying, but at the same time, the funniest. I don't remember all of the metaphors he kept using, but one in particular which I found funny was, "He passes the puck at WARP SPEED!"
His name is Rick Jeanneret (unsure of correct spelling) but you talk about homers, Buffalo invented them. Jeanneret has been the radio guy since the inception of the Sabres, ex Hockey Night in Canada commentator, the late Ted Darling was the TV play-by-play announcer. Jeanneret, a Canadian who lives in Niagra Falls Canada, can be annoying and entertaining. He's famous for "wowie Housley", "May day" and as you said "top shelf where moma hides the cookies" and he also used to describe Alexander Mogilny as "Alexander The Great".
