Very questionable call by Koharski and a  weak clearing attempt by Bonk led to the goal by Sabres.  Habs got that back short-handed and they have been taking the play to Buff however it seems everytime they get some momentum going, a penalty is called.

What did I say?! I hate that guy (Koharski, that is; my feelings for knoB are well-documented), even though he's a fellow Nova Scotian.  Worst referee in the NHL.  And a goal at 19:55 (or something close to that) really hurts.

Once again our achilles heel is rearing it's ugly head..lack of scoring. The philly game was an aberation...games like tonite and the 2-0 (inluding empty netter) Boston win are the norm. We are in desperate need, as we have been all year..of Finish.

Good news going into the third:  Ko-arse-ki, the Great Evener, will call a bunch of penalties against Buffalo, to even things up.  The Habs' PP will have to capitalize.

You heard it here first.

That last goal against was frustrating.  Souray has next to no hockey sense.  Instead of being aware of the clock and hitting Markov with a pass as he came out of the box, he tosses it down ice and gets an icing call.  I also don't know what Gainey was thinking with having Pleks take the face-off, as he is very weak on the draw.  He should have Begin or Koivu take it.

Unfortunately Koharski forgot Buffalo is wearing white not red.

So let's see................ Ko-arse-ki last four minutes went like this: Habs tie it up with 3 1/2 minutes to go.  Habs get power play in a tie game with less than 2 minutes to go.  Habs score a goal, which is disallowed.  Habs then get two penalties in the last minute of tie game, which leads to a 5-on-3 since you can't go 4-on-2 in OT.  Buffalo scores in OT (of course) with a two-man advantage.

Ho hum.  Another typical night at the office for that fat pr--k.

Nuttin like showing you hate montreal.  What the hell does this Koharski have against us.  7 penalties to 3....i counted about 5 on the sabres that should have been called....Begin, love the guy, but he takes stupid penalties late...rough game for huet, not a chance in OT, he made a great save on the inital shot, but lucky Maxime, is there with a wide open net, and cheers like he won the stanley cup....i really really hate this guy now...i always disliked him, but now i hate him....sorry to vent but it had to get out.

What does everyone think of the non-goal by Ryder.  One replay looked like it bounced off his pants and into the net.

Fist off, Koivu should not be taking selfish penalties.  Habs had the momentum in that final two minutes with a PP.

After the game, I was in the media scrum surrounding Michael Ryder, and he concedes that it could have gone wither way, and yes it did hit his glove.

But what he didn;t say, was had he not swung at it and just let it hit his body, it most likely would have counted.

Oh well, we got a point at least.

I agree with you Mario..Koivu, of all people, should know better. His penalty cost us the game. As for Begin, I am getting used to him taking dumb penalties.  Yes Begin took the second penalty. Personallybecause of his history of bad penalties I would not have had him out there with a minute left. But what was Saks thinking? We are on a PP and he holds the guys stick for an extended period of time...not to stop a scoring opportunity..not to save the game. We are on the PP..great chance to put the game away with a minute left..and you grab the guy's stick? I expect more than that from the kids I coach.
