Not just kovalev who can't shoot straight, most of the team can't either. and when they do shoot, breaks their sticks.

Maybe he is trying to hard to "hit his spot". Maybe he needs to be told to just make a few shots and once he's got it going, then he can pick some corners.

Time to bench Kovy. Sorry but he gives the puck away and doesn't hit the net. He's bringing the team down right now. Change up the first line and PP cause we are stinking up the joint.

Why does Kovy try to beat 3 or 4 guys everytime? No one in the league does that except him and he isn't very good at it, either. Maybe try skating while stickhandling around people? Start passing to your mates, Kovy!!!!

I am a fan of Kovalev and what he is capable of doing. What really ticks me off is when he does score, his moves, his actions and the talent he displays that leads to the goal, makes it seem like he can score whenever he wants, and yet, he only has 11 goals in 38 games. I guess he doesn't want to score that often.

Me too, but it's the same as when he was in NY. Brilliant flashes, with long dark passages in between. Sort of an offensive "Resident Evil"

But we knew that signing him. A guy like Kovy is entertaining and productive, but never should be the star attraction on the team... but that's just another low blip on the monitor of our health...

Might be the sticks. Give him one game with the new sticks to get a decent shot total (4-6) and after that one more to start scoring. After that, if he blames his skates, bench him.

I am waiting for Kovalev to make another brilliant observation regarding coaching systems and how the players are not allowed to be creative..18 shots a game Alex under your new coaching staff..next observation?

Imagine if he does take 4 to 6 shots, that might put the entire teams shots to over 20. OMG imagine if we got 10 shots in one period. I think it is time to take the Sens aproach. Attack all game long, and rely on your goalie to be defensive.
