What to do with Bonk???

Well the Bonk experiment is officially a bust. He has been promoted to 2nd line on occasion along with some PP time and it has lead to absolutely nothing.

In 31 games this year he is 15th in scoring, he has a grand total of 1 goal and 12 assists for 13 points and is an amazing -6. His average ice time is 16:20 and he wins 47% of the faceoffs he takes.

Something tells me we should have kept Perreault as he is over 60% in faceoffs won, he puts points on the board and his salary is very affordable $525,000 vs. $2,394,000.

Too bad George Gillette jr owns ski resorts and not the razor company

I'm not convinced Bonk is done yet. And same for Zednik.

Hey, this team may have stunk up some games (seriously stunk up) lately, but they're still 5-5 in their last ten, mostly on the road against tough teams, and with their number one defenseman injured.

There's hope yet boys and girls.

This is my beef.  Who pitched the idea to GM Gainey that trading for Bonk (and ridding Garon) was better that re-signing Perreault?  Whoever pitched this idea, be it Andre Savard or Pierre Gauthier, should get fired!  Signing Garon and Perreault would have cost as much as Bonk.

Apparently it was Gauthier who also pushed Ottawa to draft him.  He is the Gaut's boy.

Ironically Gauthier has a job and Julien does not lol. I remember And-O complaining that Gainey and CJhad put Bonk into a defensive role position and that was why he was not contributing. Hmmmmmm

I just want to know who actually does less on the ice - Bonk or Ribeiro?  Both of these guys are consistently non-factors in games. Maybe if Ribeiro shot the puck something would happen.  Is he afraid he might score and expectations might rise again?  Bonk is playing on the 2nd line and PP and he contributes NOTHING.

A lot of people on this site seem to be so patient with these guys and I just don't get it?

Doesn't Ribs have a no shot clause in his contract?  The guy never shoots when in prime scoring range.

My argument is anyone (with the exception of Ribs) on the Habs bench could do more outthere than Bonk.

I don't know that anyone's all that patient with Bonk or Ribeiro. The only people getting more flak lately are Theodore and Koivu, and maybe Kovalev.

It might just be that people don't want to think about Bonk or Ribeiro anymore. It's too painful.

I say bonk him over the head all the way to the farm.  He's terrible - and I don't see any desire in him to turn it around.   Bye bye Bonk, can't even say thanks for the memories.

Even Youppi is only one goal behind him!

Right on, Girl!

Did you notice that "Bonk" spelled backward is "Knob".  Appropriate, n'est-ce pas?
