Hey everyone, my name is Mike and I'd like to add a little fun with some Hockey Trivia. If you're all for it, I'll try and post one each day and provide the answer for the previous one at the same time.

Please let me know what you think.

Here's the first one.

Who holds the NHL record for the most shorthanded goals in one game?

A.Theo Fleury
B.Dave Keon
C.Wayne Gretzky

Hi Mike; welcome.  I have no idea what the correct answer is, so I won't even guess, but I like your idea, and look forward to the questions.

hey Mike welcome aboard..Normie gave up the "Normie's Friday Trivia " some time ago (apparently a contract squabble with Mario). My guess would be the great Davey Keon.

 I once heard that Keon was the best penalty killer of his time so I'll go with him!

JoHab, you will have to cruise the Hall of Fame site or some such place.  Dave Keon was one of the greatest of his era - yes, despite being a Leaf.  Like Mats Naslund (and Buillon Cube), he was a shrimp, which is why I (a fellow shrimp) liked him, despite his Leafhood.

I gotta go with Theo Fluery on this one, only because the other 2 players are hall of famers, and you would naturally think it was one of those 2.  Either I am right or Fluery is the boobie prize, which is OK cause I like boobies.

Great idea with the Trivia!!!

I would have to go with Fleury just cause he seems to be the odd one out.  Wayne-o wasn't that great a penalty killer.

....and the answer is;

Theo Fleury with the Calgary Flames scored three short handed goals in one game on March 9, 1991 in an 8-4 victory over the St.Louis Blues. Fleury also has the unusual distinction of having the second highest plus minus ever recorded in one game, +9 in a 13-1 Flames victory over the San Jose Sharks. In that same game Sharks defenseman Doug Wilson recorded a -9 setting the mark for the worst +/- in one game.
