Celebrity sighting............. right here in Halifax!
Permalink Closed

I went for a noonday skate at the Halifax Metro Centre today, and on my way in, saw former Hab (and Minnesota North Stars) great Bobby Smith.  He spends a lot of time down here, of course, as owner of the Halifax Mooseheads.  (Plus I imagine he has family, being from Cape Breton and all...........).

He was so tall and straight and fit-looking, I swear he could still strap them on and be a first-liner on the Habs!

Did you ask him if he wanted to come back? He could play on a line with Corson and Richer.

I think right now I could be on the first line as much as there doing, but the league has rules against big guys skating holding onto chairs.Still I might be as fast as some.

Hey Nil

Juno awards are in Halifax this year - so keep your eyes peeled for Canada's music makers - we were this close to taking our daughter again but decided on a family cruise over March break.

It's a fantastic weekend be sure to catch the Juno Cup where one of my buddies plays for the musicians' team and uses our old garage band's name as his identifier - "The Cinnamon Dickweed"

A cruise over the lovely city of Halifax in March?  I'm insulted!

I didn't know the Junos were here.  I'll have to try to grab an event or two.  I hate to ask what a cinnamon dickweed might be.
