Anyone watch the Ducks and Oliers last night? With about 6 minutes left and with the game tied at 3, Ryan Smyth gave Giguere a little stick on his stick while Oilers were on a 5 min PP. Giguere lost it and took another penalty! Now with the Oilers two men up, they scored again and Giguere lost it on Smyth again. Again the Oilers scored!

Randy Carlyle called a time out to get him under control then Giguere lost it on him at the bench and a yelling match between coach and player proceeded!

Man, that was some action! Give him credit for playing with emotion and intensity ( Theo lacks now) but his boil over lost the game for the Ducks against the team they're trying to catch for 8th spot!

Sure I don't agree with what he did but this is sometimes what it takes for a team to turn it around! He blew a game but it may be a wake up call to his team to start competing harder!

 Anyway, it was exciting hockey!

The lack of respect that the goalies are getting in the so called "new NHL" is nothing short of pathetic and I do not blame Giggy for losing it. The refs allow players to skate through the crease constantly, bump the goalies, whack away at the goalie when he has the puck coveered and seldom call it. The defence are not allowed to do anything to move the Ryan Smith's out of the way or they get a penalty. I really feel for the goalies today and I think that Theo has had a hard time adjusting to all the traffic.

Good one, AB.  I'd take a trade - me for Theo straight up.  And I'd only as for half his salary, get yanked after the first two minutes of my first game, then retire comfortably for life.
