I have a bad feeling that Gainey will start Theo again because of the GM pride thing!
What should happen is chance Theo to clear waivers and send him away to get his head and game straightened out! If someone picks him up, it would free up cash! Either way, I wouldn't care less!
To have him play here to find his game is suicide! We just can't keep throwing games away! There's still a chance at playoffs if we go with Huet. Even if he just lays his big body across the crease and doesn't move the whole game, we have a better chance!

Chance sending him to Hamilton. He may clear waivers because what team can afford him anyway? Plus he sucks.
Now that might get theo's Giant ego head to shrink a bit. I just wish our farm team was in more of a "small" town. It would be hilarious to send these guys to some small town where they have never been. At least Hamilton is a "city" in the heart of the country.

I honestly do not think it is his ego that is the problem as much as it is total lack of confidence. As a goalie I watched him very close last night (Monday game so I was sober). He is just so unsure of every shot. He is not square to the puck. He fights the puck when he does stop it. As for the bags under the eyes and drinking too much thing, I don't know. I do know that Gainey has been in enough dressing rooms and team hotels to know what is going on. In a sense, I feel badly for the kid. No one wants to suck that bad. But he does. But when you get yourself in a hole like that it is soooo tough to get out. One thing is clear. Playing against teams like Philly and Ottawa behind a defence that is as porous as Montreal's will not cure the problem. So ship him to Steeltown and give him lots of ice time. The only problem is that if he does go down and clear waivers and plays well, you run the risk of losing him on re-entry waivers and having to cover half his salary.

I would also forgive Gainey if we has to pay half his salary! At least we would still have a couple mil to play with! That would buy a good forward or add depth to out Defense!
If I have to watch Theo earn 5 mil in a Habs uniform playing like this for 3 years, I'll end it!
