Would it be wrong to say with the trades hopefully coming our way to throw in out first rounder....Price. We have guys like Denis, Huet, Halak, Lindberg in which a few were just drafted in 2003. So we have some depth in nets or so we think.....there must be a team out there without as much depth as us in that position. I don't think we would miss out to much on him. The guy couldn't even crack the lineup for the canadian juniors....for being a #1 draft pick, #5 overall, he should be that good....or is it just our scouting thats in the dumps....but if you throw together a package like Zednik, Bonk and Price, we may just get something for that.....???
It depends on how Gainey wants to build his team. I personally would want to keep the young'ins, and instead trade off Future draft picks, 3rd or 2nd rounders

I would trade Price in a heartbeat actually. I am still baffled that we wasted a fifth pick on a goalie. The habs usually pick wayyyy down in the order and this was a chance to get an impact player for a change. I know the habs have a policy of "drafting the best player available regardless of position" but I take issue with Price being the best available at that time. Besides, if you look at our drafting, this policy does not seem to be working too well does it?

You nailed it! Why didn't they address their needs? Gilbert Brule was available and he plays like a tank. Price was a suprize pick at #5 and was supposed to to go later in the draft.
If he is so good why didn't he make the WJC team? Package him up and send him...
