Barry, your sarcasm is unwarranted. Granted CJ was (and I presume still is) your buddy and both he and BG were aware of where the problems lie with this team and it is not in the coaching area. The Habs are playing like a bunch of pee-wees. The coaches cannot go on the ice and play for them. Theo was playing his usual weak game and that has a way of undermining any confidence the forwards might have regained after the Canucks game. Also, Ward is playing well in the Carolina net (Habs have outshot them 26-20). I, as much as anyone on this board, hate what is happening with our Habs but we will have to 'grin and bear it'. If it is any consolation, the Laffs are losing 2-0 in the 2nd!!!::
I swear. watching this team night after night brings new meaning to the saying "I beat my head against a brick wall cause I know how good it will feel when I stop". As bad as Theo was tonite (and bad does not begin to touch it), I still do not see much in this team to get excited over. Slow, lazy, and indifferent would be adjectives I would use. Bright spots are Koivu, Pleks, and I like Downey. For a tough guy he does not look out of place out there. Very good positionally. *sigghhhh*..back to the brick wall. I KNOW how nice this will feel when I am done.

Murray Wilson was jst saying that our big guys Rivet and Sourray do not have one hit tonigt. They need to step it up and throw the body around a little.

Murphy- can anyone explain to me why he put Theo back in the nets tonite? That is what I do not understand. Is he just hoping that the "goalie fairy" came to Theo when he slept last night and sprinkled some magic save dust on him?

Well, the red team is doing well in the Canadian election so far - leading 20 to 9 to 3 (funny score!). But it's still early in the first period, and I know that the lead will not last................
Digressing for a minute, this is to be expected from the Atlantic Provinces. Should change as we proceed West.
She did a concert last summer (free) in front of Boston City Hall How is the election going
Liberals are leading, but only Atlantic ridings are reporting so far. Once central Canada checks in (where all the people are), the results will change. The Bloc Quebecois will win most of the Quebec votes, Ontario will be split (Lib/Cons), and the Conservatives will sweep the west. I don't think this will be settled until the last votes are counted in British Columbia. (Unlike the Habs game, which was over in the first period.)
No hanging chads, however, except maybe Kilger, who based on his Hab days should be hung.

Barry I understand your frustration but Gainey had to give Theo one more chance (hopefully thats his last). What does BG do with Theo now-send him to Hamilton as there would be no problem clearing waivers. I would think Huet will see lots of action from now on but who will be the back-up?

Murph- I suspect you will see Gainey try to send him to Hamilton to play alot. My frustration in this case has nothing to do with my friend CJ. It comes as being an experienced coach myself. For the life of me I cannot see why Gainey went back with Theo tonite. As far as chances, geeeeesh the guy has had a million. Worst case scenario is that he does not clear waivers and someone else picks up his salary. Not likely but you never know. Gainey will be unable to trade him now anyway. I look for THeo in hamilton with his buddy Dagenais before the weekend.

Wouldn't a team just pick him up when he's called back up, however?

Let them pick him up then. At this stage he is pretty much untradeable and that frees up a ton of cap space to get what we need.

Did you see the reaction when that happened with Ron Hainsey? I get the feeling if we were to let Theo go and get nothing, the outbursts would be at an all-time high.
