Announcers were commenting on his play.  Lets hope he keeps playing that way.  Wasn't much else to cheer about tonight.

Interesting thing tonight. Theodore let in 5 goals, but forget about those. Huet let in only 1 and in the time he was in goal, we scored 2. Get rid of Theodore, it's a 2-1 win essentially.

Not really, Jedah.  The 'Nuks played their 3rd and 4th line the rest of the night.  Montreal did play better in the 2nd and 3rd, but were abysmal in the 1st... this was not Jose's fault.  At least a few of the Habs had a good game (Ryder, Koivu, Bulis, Huet, Rivet) but too many did not show up.  We all knew the coaching change would not be enough... expect more changes after this trip.

Actually Have to agree with Nil d..the only player that showed up was kostitsyn! The others did squat! Rivet started it all by skating by the puck thinking Souray would follow him! What was that all about? Ryder doesn't play physical enough to make room for his linemates or pass the puck well! Is he becoming one demensional? He's no Brett Hull! Saks has one go off his skate..big deal..where was he the whole game? Bulis played hard as usual so agree with you there!

My point is..we're not going to win games if our best player is one in training!

I also agree that Gainey will eventually have no choice but to trade players although I've been saying that for three months!

Oh, sorry. I missed most of the first, so I didn't realize. That was just how it looked from my perspective.

I agree something needs to be done, and everyone is frustrated right now but what to trade or to do.  I know it wasn't all Theo's fault last night but if the rumuors were slightly true of trading him to Vancouver for Bertuzzi i would do in it a heart beat, just my suggestion though.  A couple other things that i would of done, signed Perrault 18 goals, it was beyond me why we let him go!  Best faceoff man the game has seen and puck possesion is the most importan thing in the world.  Secondly at the beginning of the season when the free agent thing was going crazy I thought why not sign a guy like Anson Carter 15 goals and is getting paid 1 million. Thirdly, we need some help on defense so I throw this out as minor help or depth.  Ric Jackman is a healthy scratch the past week.  He moves the puck well and has great shot, and has gotten a few pts. playing in pittsburgh.  Would help the pp and is getting paid well under the 1 million mark! Just my what ifs............or two cents!

Good points Ray but now Gainey has waited too long again! Canucks have it together now and will keep Bert! Gainey's patients is also his enemy especially missing out in the off season also!

I know you said you only saw the game after the first, but no one can fault Theo for those 5.  He had no chance on any of them and his d-men were running around with their heads cut off.  The best was when Souray threw it behind the net and Rivet and Souray just looked at eachother...it was pure comedy!!!  And idiot-boy, worst player in the league, Bonk digs for the puck against Burrows (who is a rookie) who strips it off him and wraps it around past Theo.  Don't you know you dig outside the guy, so he CAN'T wrap it around on you?  How long has Bonk played this game?

Is it me or have the Habs given a lot of guys their first NHL goals this year?  Burrows last night, and 2 guys against Pittsburgh and countless others I'm sure.

I believe Ryder is the only player on the Habs with 20 goals.  Maybe we need a few more 'one dimensional' players on this team.  Ryder is not a physical player but his goal production compensates for his lack of hitting.  A few more 20 goal scorers would have our team in much better shape in the standings.
