Interview with Mathew Dandenault

Listening to the Calgary 590 Fan and after watching the game live in Calgary , I 'd have to say I agree with what Dandenault had to say...

Dandenalut indicated that he was happy to playing in Montreal but that the one thing he found different was the defencemen are not encouraged to skate with the puck.  Coming from Detroit, this was a big change for him, being an offensive defencemen.

He also mentioned that have Gainey and Carbo, both former captains, were a huge boost in the locker room , being that both guys bring leadership to the team.

Over all, Dandenault seemed to allude to the fact that things will start improving with the new bosses behind the bench.

He also mentioned that the players had quit playing under Julien's leadership and the team seemed to be in a downward spiral and that something had to be done.

Good point! The team really was in need of leadership! Gainey and Carb will provide that and we will notice more harmony on the team that should benefit on the ice! The guys should go to bat for each other more and also show more appreciation for their peers production on the ice!
