............................ well I quess the new smell is out of the car .....our top line has to perform more consistently ....Higgins should be up with Koivu and Kovalev ....rather than Ryder , Higgins is more of a playmaker , has quicker feet ....I like Ryder but he shoots too often and I don't think it's good to have all your offence on one line ....

.....and defence ..wow getting short-staffed ,

Ryder deserves his spot on the first line because he HAS THE MOST GOALS and did so while playing with table scraps. He's 1 or 2 shy of Iginla but has a much higher shooting percentage. So, pass him the puck more. Koivu and Kovalev are play makes and Ryder is a scorer. Kovy is a lot of both, actually. It is a good place for Ryder. But wouldn't Ryder, Higgins and Plekanec make an explosive line?

You guys might call me nuts, but I would rather see Ribs with Ryder and Kovalev as of late.  Koviu is the one who is flat and bringing this line down.  With the way Ribs can handle the puck, him and Kovalev would be great together, and that would open up tons of room for Ryder to fire that wrist shot from the hash marks.

I agree also! Ribs may not show the greatest flash or dash which Saks shows sometimes but it's because he doesn't need to! His passes hit their mark more so than Saks and he can do more with half the effort of Saks! Ever notice Saks usually has to work his butt off to get an assist or goal? His skating ability is stronger than Ribs and he has to use it to produce while Ribs is just a naturally better passer and even shooter!

Sorry....I shouldn't compare these players as Saks is supposed to be a core vet. player and Ribs a peripheral player as per their pay! It can't hurt to try to get the #1 line scoring! Someone needs to be the set-up man!
