AS bad as I perceive the dressing room and comraderie/team closeness has been in Montreal, Pittsburgh makes the habs look like the Waltons. All year Sydney Crosby has been beaten, slashed, hacked and wacked at will. Fine. That is the game. Welcome to the NHL Syd. But what is nauseating is that no one stands up for him. Part of this may be due to the fact that the huge ego'd veterans are jealous of the press and exposure that Crosby gets (Therrien best order some Pampers and Soothers for the neglected veterans). But if this team was in anyway close at all, they would stand up for a teamate regardless. The other night in Vancouver Crosby was just pummeled at will every time he got on the ice. Now finally the Pens went out and got Eric Cairns to ride shotgun from Florida (by the way I thought that was why they signed Andre Roy?!??). About time. This kid is the future of that franchise. If he does not get fed up like Palffy and retire rather than put up with that abuse coupled with the complacent and care less attitude of his teamates.

Just imagine what players like Sid and Ovechkin would be doing on REAL teams?

It's a shame there is no Young Stars game this year. Crosby and Ovechkin on the same team, same line even?

I was actually thinking at Palffy would be traded this season, but then he retired, I still think the pens are gonna move a few bodies. We'll have to wait

Mark my words...The Pens are going to ruin Sid if they don't soon get their room under control!

Can you imagine Gretzky having to play under those conditions? When he was in Edmonton all you had to do was breathe on him and Semenko or McClelland jumped you. I have no problem with Syd taking his lumps like everyone else (as far as I am concerened. Gretz was TOO untouchable) but to allow it to be open season on the kid who is perceived as being not only the future of the Pens but the future of the NHL is just plain wrong. Obviously that pfft...no one pfft..cares on that team pfft..they are soft like I have never seen soft pffttt.. I can tell ya one thing..this Cairns character is no softie.
