i dont think losing palfy in your pool should hurt your team TOO much...unless you really have a terrible team, but if you said your in 2nd....it shouldnt be TOO bad.

My 1st 4 picks were terrible, however I managed to steal away the late rounders which is halarious.
Here is my pool:
Martin St.Louis Ziggy Palffy Sergei Federov (wtf was I thinking?!) Sergei Gonchar (needed atleast one D on the team, but I jumped the gun way to early) Ilya Kovalcuk Teemu Selanne Eric Staal Marc Savard Mats Sundin Brian Gionta Ladislav Nagy Ales Hemsky
I had a weak weak start, cause I was expecting a big year from Federov playing with selanne, and I expected Palffy to rack up some big points cause I thought Pittsburg wouldbe a contender, as for St.Louis..well he better get his ass in gear. Ilya was a good pick cause he wasn't playing at the time and no one knew how long he'd hold out for. Selanne, picked cause he was playing with federov. Staal, I knew he'd have a great season, along with Savard, Gionta and Hemsky. Sundin was injured when we were doing the picks, Nagy, well i knew about Nagy for awhile and I think he is a good pick.
speaking of steals in hockey pools, in my champs league, i trades away Doug Weight for Svatos. I had a feeling about the kid. What a steal that was. Also markov in the 8th round as i said, i also got brisebois in a late round too. Mcabe has been great and JUST before the start of the season i traded away lecavalier for Alfredsson....that guy is kicking himself right now
