You guys have got to go to tsn.ca today and read the story about the Laffs loss to Colorado last night. It is not so much the story, but the comments from fans underneath that you need to read. Not long ago the Leafs had won 6 in a row and every fan was planning the parade on Younge Street. Now faced with injuries to key players (sound familiar?) they are struggling and have lost a few. A sampling of the comments "The coach has got to go. We need new direction", "Time to get rid of the coach, the captain, the goaltender and some dmen. Not looking good for the playoffs right now. ", "The Leafs have no jam. Theres no physical play up front , the grit that they had in the past is gone. Call up some players from the Marlies. Give Ondrus or Newbury a chance to play in the NHL , they play with a lot of grit and thats what the leafe need right now. Wellwood , Belfore and Stajan have no confidence . PLAY TELLQVIST "


Does any of this at all sound familiar? Had I copied and pasted fans remarks 2 weeks ago they would have been the complete opposite, praising Pat Quinn for the job he has done. Geeeeeeeeeeeesh I hope Claude does not end up in Toronto..I do not think I could stand it

Yup, like I said sometimes we sound like Leafs fans.... I was checking the Vancouver board and it's the same crap there too....

Y'know lads, I think that sums up fans everywhere who give a sh*t about their team.  Same as here in Calgary, but their is some stupid optimism here that people had even in the dark years of the early mellenium...must be the economy or something?
