Just imagine the buzz across the league if Gainey radically purged the room prior to setting out on the road???

I think Bobby is going to see if he can steer the ship in the right direction for the foreseeable future.  If things do continue to spiral, then I think we shall see a transaction.  BUT if someone makes him an decent offer in the meantime and he can get a good deal out of it, I don't think he would hesitate to move someone, and MY OPINION is that Ribs is at the TOP of the transaction list.

BTW, classy move not throwing Carbs to the wolves...

Would be funny if Chicago and Washington got into a bidding war for him (word is that Wash might want him to set up Ovechkin)!

You can't doubt Ribero's skill level( spelled wrong on purpose....). They guy is a pretty good set up man. Ribs would work on a team that could really care less about winning and more about giving the fans a show.

Unfortunately for Ribs, in Montreal you need to be both skilled and a winner.

Well if he does he really is showing his true colors. he should have done it two weeks ago. But enough of that, lets see after a few games where they think we are still weak and trey to improve those areas.

Is there a team that cares less about winning? Gainey will surprise you all and send someone else packing!

Edmonton radio station has George Laroque and a defencemen going to Montrea for Theo.  Not sure where they get this information from.

They got this from some black hole at the other side of the universe. Theo is staying put unless it significantly put Montreal ahead otherwise.

As for any other trade, I'm sure Bob's lines are open and he will listen to any offer out there except for Markov and a few others. If he's pro-actively looking for a trade it will come out of nowhere, just like this thing that just happened. And if CHI and WAS want to fight for Ribs, let them. I'm sure with his performances the last 2 games, his stock is on the move again.

I do not think there was anything "classY about not throwing Carbo to the wolves so to speak. He is mearely protecting his own, and Carbs, rear.
