my choice is obviously the best man thats available... ted nolan.

ex-coach of the year.. a guy who won't put up with sh!t.  hire him.

screw carbonneau.  screw jarvis.  it's time to get the best person for the job.  it's sad to see a guy who is twice the coach as 95% of the coaches in the league get screwed over.. again, and again, and again.

Ted Nolan is the man. I can't believe he hasen't had an NHL coaching job in what seems like forever. Does anyone know the deal with that? You'd think a guy with his talents would get offers out the wazzoo...

Nolan was a poor defensive coach! Sabres were always out shot and Hasek saved their bacon in so many games!

And don't forget he has a habit of pissing off the GM. I think what we need is stability. Maybe compete with the Isles to get Sutter on board?

Know what Gainey should do?  If the Habs decide to step up and play 60 minutes tonight and the next game, then Gainey should unveil his new coach for the following game ......................................... Claude Julien!

He should tell the guys "You know you can play this game, now do it for this guy who stayed with you sissies through thick and thin!".

How's that for a radical idea?

Amazing idea, would be very shifty lol.  Would love to see it, just for the reaction period.
