...at least he is man enough to take the wheel himself...because CJ was just plain out of ideas...and Rick Green's choices surrounding the defensive personnel were bizarre at times!

However, I will say that CJ did try EVERYTHING to get this team winning again!

And-o is content to sit back and watch what impact this will have on the team!

2-3 game impact until they slow down, then Gainey will set them in their places probably.

I still stand by my statement by saying Montreal has a decent squad of guys, and accuiring 2-3 key guys while letting go of 2 guys in particular will have a huge impact

Ya, BG will make the big trades now and the team may start winning. He should have made the trades while CJ was there. They may win a game or two  then back to status quo, you watch

I'm with ya Jay. I've said it before, this team has some good Potential talent( Koivu, Kovalev, Theodore, Souray, Markov, Rivet, Ryder, Higgins). Nothing wrong with that line up.

I truly believe it only takes one rotten apple to spoil the batch. I've seen it in my professional life as well. Ribero's spoiled pansy approach to everything has bruises and worm holes all through it. How in god's name did Ribero ever get elevated to anything meaningful anyway??? Trust me, this guy is untreated garbage.

And don't give me the "oh he lead the team 2 years ago crap". Lead them how? with 68 points and tons of ice time? come on!

Ribero's only hope for a real NHL career now is for Gainey and Carbo to staraighten out his skinny a$$. Otherwise he'll be wearin his Gangsta crew suit in Peoria....I'm sure that will go over well...

But he couldn't make a trade but had to try and right the ship.  Anyway, lack of leadership isn't necessarily always a player problem...

If you all get the chance to watch/read the press conference, do it.  It's been insightful, so far.

Too bad for CJ but Green had to go.  He was a passive non agressive dman and he was the guy mentoring our d corps.  Time to get someone in there that will let them wheel.

Are you blaming Ribs only for the firing of CJ? How about the higher paid core players? Saks, Kovy and Theo....what have they done during this losing stretch?

Hmm..really have to wonder WHY he did not make the trades before eh? Purely a coincidence I am sure Bobby boy. I am sure you will make sure that your buddy Guy is not left with the sad excuse for effortless players that his predecessor had.
