I for one am scared s#$tless trading Theo. On the eve of the dreaded Patrick Roy deal - trading Theo will haunt us for another 10 years.
Something has to give with Theo so he can play better. He is supposed to be a leader and he has given up. If he is dealt to another team the pressure will be lifted and he will be an elite goalie for years to come.
BG don't make the same mistake as Houle. If you are going to trade an impact player get an impact player in return. A perfect example is Joe Thorton - the Bruins did not get an impact player in return and look at them now. Be smart about this.
Comparing Theo to Roy is insulting to Roy. Roy already had 2 Cups and a Conn Smythe under his belt by the time they dealt him...and he was the top goalie in the league at that time. Theo hasn't been the top goalie in the league for 2 seasons and it doesn't look like he is going to be anytime soon.
At the end of the day the reason the Habs are losing is because of lack of scoring, poor team defense and overall determination. Lets cut down on these 40 shots against games, add some grit and start popping 3+ goals a game and I'll guarantee we see some wins coming, regardless if you play Danis, Theo or Huet. We sure as helll weren't allowing 40 shots in the first 20 games of the season and we were on fire...and Theo was still sub-par at that point too.
Not saying goaltending isn't that important because it's extremely important, but I think this team is better than just relying on the goaltender to make 40 saves and bail them out every night.

24 rings you make a great point, at the beginning of the year we were outshooting teams almost every game and now things have gone the other way and were getting outshot badly. This has happen for many years now ( getting outshot that is) and its killing us. When was the last time we had a guy in the top ten in scoring?

Boy, I remember the Dryden and Roy years. We would play Boston and be outshot 45-12 and still come up a winner. That is when the Goalie was strong and a team with very few offensive chances made them count
