Saks and Kovi
Permalink Closed

I'm not saying this to get a rise but Saks was a no show! Other than the last few faceoff efforts, he did squat along with Kovi! They played no better than Ribs who is payed alot less!

Our best player tonight was Bulis. That said, we're not going to the playoffs with this roster!

Kovi showed up for his last few games of the playoffs last season against Boston to earn a big contract! SMART! He fooled Gainey!

Well, good luck playing for your Country boys! You should be fresh!

Agree that Kovi is coasting (notice he was flying that last 2 minutes ... after nothing for 58 minutes)

Saks on the other hand delivered a strong performance tonight. Skated hard all night, was on the ice for the lone habs goal. yes I know he was also on for the first avs goal. Problem for Saks is Ryder is very one dimesional ... can't skate with the puck or pass, or defend. Also, Higgins is too green, he missed his breakaway.

Frustrating to see our big guns not being productive when we really need them!

He did?  I must have been going to the fridge during his shifts.

He didn't get quite the ice time that Bonk did , but he had 3 shots on goal and made at least a couple of hits.

I guess he was as good as any of them last night.   But his habit of trying to go around players with one hand on his stick is most annoying.  It never works any more, and by having only one hand on the stick, he takes himself out of the play.  He has simply not been effective this year.  I still think he and Kovalev need to get reunited with Koivu to try and find that magic.

I agree with Kovalev and Saku being reunited, but with Ryder, not Zednik. Zeds is a bum who wont pass the puck to AK. Put the guy who can score on with the guys who will give it to him. These 3 have chemistry.
