Why not give Steve Thomas a shot at the line-up? Little cost and he's got a heart the size of Nunavut!! He's sitting tight in Markham, I could drive over pick him up and take him to Montreal - I'll pay for the gas - no cost to Gainey.
In fact why don't we all fan out, everyone drive to their nearest NHL veteran's house (still under age 50), then we'll each drive 'em to Montreal and pit our team against the Habs in a scrimmage.

Anyone live near Mario and Serge Roberge????
I'm not that far from Messier, but he intimidates me, sitting there in his robe with a shotgun on his lap... something about how his head is the same shape whether or not he has a helmet on
And on the subject of Messier, what the !^&& is the story behind this picture?
Cleghorn wrote: He was showing Gary a Diff'rent Stroke???? He was promising Gary the Gretzky family vote in the California Gubernatorial campaign? Gary was delivering Mess his drug order from Todd Bridges?
LOL
Looks like a bad episode of "Obscene Puppet Theater"
Cleghorn wrote: He was showing Gary a Diff'rent Stroke???? Good one Clegger! I once heard somewhere that Messier was gay. Any truth to that? (Also Glenn Anderson.) Not that there's anything wrong with that...........
Hey Nil and Brooklyn
A little Diff'rent Strokes trivia - twins Conrad and Bonar Bain (no joke on the name or the hockey) were big Alberta hockey players in the late 1930s. Conrad played at the junior level before he devolved to Mr. Drummond. I presume Bonar was a goalie as in "He pulled Bonar".
I am loving today's game - Souray slapping around Neil would be the icing on the cake.

I notice Messier is holding his stubbie. I mean his beer bottle; get your head out of the gutter!
