It is hard for me to be more than luke-warm about Theo because the guy is such a contradiction in the net. He makes saves that show anticipation and athletic prowess, and then looks like a deer in headlights five stops later. I've concluded that he played way beyond his abilities back when he was supposed to be the next St. Patrick, and now we're seeing him for what he is... a man who Fate took to the pinnacle and then abandoned. On the other hand, I have a gut feeling that when he goes elsewhere he will do what so many former Habs have done over the years... that is, rise to the challenge and make us all feel ill.
So now what? Personally, I do not care for Huet's style at all. Once he is down, he is down, period. Also, whatever may ail the rest of the team they seem further dejected when they're in front of him.
I have to ask again...where the heck is Danis? I'd like to get another look at him, especially since the overall frustration with this team doesn't appear to be going away soon.
......very good question , I too have little faith in Huet , why Danis is lingering in Hamilton is truly amazing ....it has to be about money .....I think Danis has a two contract while Huet is paid NHL coin no matter what .....if it's not about the money it does make any sense ...

Newbie, the contractual issue has been mentioned before as an explanation for Huet's lingering presence, and I think you're right about it. Even if that is the case, someone needs to be taken to the woodshed for poor management - not because of the terms of the contract, but because in spite of the contract he can be asked to put on his sportcoat and sit upstairs for a while, like any other player. To play him just because of the cost is, at this point, penny-wise and pound-foolish, in my opinion.
I was at the game in Hamilton tonight and I have to say Danis was incredible. He was the 2nd star, and he deserved it. He let in only one goal on I think 33 shots. He was seeing the puck very well, and looked extremely confident in the net. The only goal he did let in he had no chance on. So really, I would like to see him called up, but I'm sure that won't happen anytime soon.
