 That's the second time Begin nails someone in a vulnerable position. I'm not saying it was obviously intentional. He's living on the edge and I hope he doesn't maim someone for life!


 I have to say though that I respect that he drops his gloves after and pays the consequences!


 Also like that he finishes his checks and is amongst the league lead for hits but I wish he would let up when he knows someone is vulnerable to get hurt if not a broken neck! Easy to say from my chair but those plays unfold so quickly that it's hard to let up!

Actually what baffled me is how this Henry idiot does not get an instigator penalty and a game for the fight. He goes after Begin, not vice versa. But I am sure that the 2 referees were "blocked out" on that one as well.

No way that Begin play deserves a suspension, or even a misconduct. Watch it again. There's no way Begin realizes what's about to happen there. It's a legal hit.

It's true. Watching the replay several times, it just unfolded that way. It is a fast game and that was just part of hockey. No intention. NOT a penelty

Jay- just curious but when retribution is sought out immediately like Henry did with Begin, why do the refs not see that as an instigator penalty?

Begin is not a dirty player, he just hits everything in sight. In fact he's ranked second in the NHL in hits! So he's bound to land a few where guys are off balance and go into the boards awkwardly.
