Middle of the pack at best

Had a chance to watch habs at the colliseum last night and here is what I saw.

 - Zednik with his explosive speed appears to be playing scared.   Avoids getting hit and does not take chances

- Oilers did a number on the Canadiens hitting the smaller forwards at every chance.  By the second and third periods you  could see the habs SMALLER forwards hestitate going into the corners.  The Canadiens appeared 1 step slower than the Oilers.

On the positive side, the Habs fans were thier in big numbers.  Lots of noise ... unitl the Oilers scored the 4th goal.

The habs are obviously a different team when Kovalev and Koivu play. That may be sad, but it is apparently true. Let's reevaluate once they're back. Maybe we'll have a better idea of where the real weaknesses are. It's hard to fault Bulis when he's expected to play a role that he isn't right for. The same can be said for lots of guys. I think we need a healthier team before we can start making a long-term prognosis...
