where are the naysayers when we win?

I am just curious where the people calling for the heads of every important member of the franchise are when we win? Does one game really make you change your mind? Does Gainey still need to go? How about CJ? Theo and Ribs? What miracle did these guys pull off to merrit staying with the team? And why are there like 20 new posts evey time we lose but like 3 when we win. We must be the worst fans in the world if all we have is negative things to share.

Just thought I would make an official note of this unexplainable occurence.

You make it sound like every single member of this board is of one mind

Quite the contrary, we have lots of differing opinions, and not all of them call for chopping. Some like one guy, some another. Other times emotions run high, and we just try to explain what we've seen on that night.

Before you lump all of us into one mass again, take some time to see the other two dimensions of the posts you're referring to. I can assure you they exist.

Besides, complaints will always outweigh compliments on a sports board, so I wouldn't be so surprised if I was you

I think 80% of posters will agree that Ribs has to go in order for this team to compete at the next level. In all likelyhood, this means that we need to wait for one of the kids to take over, i.e. Pleks or in the offseason with a signing. I don't think we need to repeat this post everytime there is a win or a loss.

Theo has been very inconsistent this year, everytime he looks like he will be on the right track, he puts in another shaky performance the next game. Like I said in another post, I believe he is injured so we need to cut him some slack.

BG has definetly made some errors in judgement, but no one can be perfect. He's doing a respectable job and brings respect to the organization.

CJ, similar to BG, good overall coach and remember this is only his 2nd full season with the team, he is in the learning process at the NHL level. We need to cut him some slack as well.

So, even though there are some negative points in the posts, there is also alot of fact there as well.

Ya , there are plenty of posters and plenty of opinions. You should not paint everyone with a broad brush , and besides everyone who posted an opinion deserves the same respect that you do with your posts. They felt just as strongly about their opinions as you do. I learned long ago  you criticize the POST  not the POSTER

Everyone here has the same wishes. That the habs do well. Many of us express it in different ways and sometimes it comes out in writing the wrong way. What I like is that there is such a difference in opinion. Most people here give credit when it is due and I like that. Like And-O was pooping all over the coach. Today his post credits CJ for making changes. Most people here are like that. They want the best for the team and they all have different ideas as to how to do it (and about 2% of the time we are right lol). But I welcome the freedom to express it.

Gee, I've posted 49 posts since Saturday night, and I''m sure barry, davidb, Johab, BrooklynHabsfan, John M, Superhab and a few others have posted in the double digits as well.  Is that not enough?

I dont know what hes talking about, i for one am one of the few on the board who is positive after a win and positive after a loss. Im a very optimistic person, i look for the good in everything and look for how we can fix any problems we might have. I find it really hard to bash my favorite team, and i honestly believe i am one of the most habs obsessed fans in the world. By far. Thats why when i come here and all this negativity towards the team is going on i get REALLY upset and start defending it. Most people will defend what they love, and thats what confuses me most about some fans, but not everyone is the same. Plus after one of our best character performances of the year, your not going to hear to much negativity,...you picked the wrong game to bring this up after buddy....

My opinions haven't changed over a one game winning streak! Actually, if we keep winning then BG should deal from a stronger position. Again, It's all in expectations and hopes of how well our team does. We have been down for a decade and it's my expectations and hopes to challenge for the Cup!

personaly  i have been reletivly positive    except for the cases of the ducks game  and ribs   both cases there was no heart visible.   now i have to say they played much better versus the great one's team   and now im hoping that the panic sequence has been paused.  i watched the game after work  (TSN re-ran it at 3:30 am)  and if i don't post after a win (or a loss) it cuz im usually at work.  but im sorry to say   sometimes we fans need to vent our anger or frustration. i think its better to post it on here than to boo the team at a game which would take even more heart out of the team in my opinion.

In my book, Ribs is the only one who we need to move.  I think Pleks can do his job better than he can, and i think we may be able to get a top 4 dman for him.  Trade him to Washington for Witt.

I agree with you.

I like that, here are people who are very mad after we lose game( I know I am) and want to trade some players/sack coach and on the other hand I want to see supportive writings too cause then I know that you people care what happens to our favorrite team. Iīve seen both ones, so I wouldnīt be so hard those who want to trade some players/sack coach/GM sometimes.

I donīt write here so often that I would want cause my English Is not so good and I have to spend lots of time to make one of these but I read and nod my head when I see good writings that I agree. So everyone keep writing own ideas what would be best for the habs.

I hope that everyone understand what I am trying to say.

Well, your grammar may not be 100% perfect, but your message is very well put forward.  So keep posting.  I'll tell Grammarman to keep quiet.

I, like Johab, will continue to defend Theo - it is not up to the goaltender to steal games and carry the team on his (very cute) shouldes every singl game.

The only guy I see going is Ribeiro.  The game against Phoenix showed us all that our boys DO have heart, and needed a good rant from CJ.  Ribs is soft, noncommital and too easy.  Wait, am I talking about my ex?

I couldn't have been happier upon coming home and learning of the Hab win on Tuesday.

However, what I want to see is a hard working Mtl team EVERY night!  The "good" teams rarely have off nights, the Habs seem to have a very difficult time playing a full 60 minutes even when they win . . . Tuesday was apparently one of the few games this year where they played a full game well.

I still believe BG has to make changes, I'll never be happy with a couple of the current players, but that's likely to be with every version of Les Canadiens.

I haven't felt CJ should be fired yet this year, but I was starting to question whether he can motivate this team.  Theo had a great game against Phoenix, let's hope he can put a string together.  What is Biron at now, 11 straight wins I believe . . . that with a Buffalo team that isn't anymore talented than we are on paper.

All I want is Mtl to play hard and show a will to win.  If they can do that consistently they'll surely win more than they lose.

*** Remember, if they Habs fail to play well over the next two weeks effort and subsequent 2 pts earned on Tuesday will be long forgotten.  I personally feel this thread was a wee bit premature, but we'll see.
