Alright guys, this will be the game the habs REALLY need to win, they have to get that 2+ wins in a row thing going on again. HAvent had consecutive wins since the beginning of Nov. Lets hope the habs come out strong again. No word on Saku or Kovalev playing yet...

It's almost 100% positive that both Koivu and Kovy will miss tomorrow's game. Koivu still suffering from the stomach flu and Kovy not yet ready. Kovy was playing 'D' with Streit during the practice today.
lol, the whole team should wear toques and maybe we'll win 10-1
last game i refused to make a prediction and we played one of the better games all year(most complete anyway). so i'm going to not guess the outcome of this game either and maybe we will have the same result!
I expect this one to be wide open and up and down. Both teams can skate well. Oilers have been getting great goaltending. By the way I watched that Buffalo/Stars tilt last night. Biron was simply outstanding. He reminded me alot of Theo in his MVP year. With 'tending like that it is not hard to see why the Swords are on a tear.

Question is will Biron be in Vancouver and when, need theo too steal this one and a few goals by a cast of characters would definetly help. Tough game to predict so I won't, but would be nice too start a winning streak with Koivu and Kovy coming back soon.
...good to see Sheldon Souray is finally waking up! Also nice to see Sunny getting into the act!
And-o is seeing signs of a defense waking up to their offensive responsibilities...which should reciprocate with forwards playing better defense! And-o has a hunch that Dandy and Komi will bag their first goals soon!!!
2-1- Great effort in the first period and great to see us get a few calls for a change. By the way for all of those who are alwasy asking why Perez does not get more ice time, note the first period. He tends to belazy defensively and makes alot of mistakes. He lets Ryan Smyth strip him of the puck and then does not even skate back hard to try and get it back. THAT is why he is not getting more ice time folks. Until he learns that to play in the NHL he has to play hard BOTH ways he will not be rewarded.

A little late for this comment, but I am hoping that Ribiero has a really strong game tonight so that A) He helps us win, and B) The Oilers decide to deal for him to fill that center spot they have considered addressing. I would love to have Staios to pair with Souray to fill out our D.
Not a good second period for the Habs, a couple of bad penalites and giveaways gave a few good scoring chances to the Oilers. Mtl will have to play smarter in the third to come out of Edm with a win.
As soon as I saw Pleks failure to clear that puck, I said to myself , Self don't let that turn into a goal. Guess what Goal Also not sure but Theo was down again Too Early???
rivet played the worst game of his career....friggin brutal, he must have given the puck away 10 times and just blatently too. i hope he hears it tonight. the last goal he just stood there and let the edmonton player(morrow?) tee up a cannon from the faceoff dot and then instead of trying to block it, he steps aside creating the perfect screen.
ryder was pretty stupid too though, must have had a brain fart....no way you take a penalty like that with 2 minutes left, c'mon...ribiero was awful tonight too, so was bulis....we should have played higgins, pleks, sundtrom, i'm trying to think of any more frowards that played good, murray, and begin the whole damn game.
whether theo was down or not that was a bullet labeled for the top shelf and he was half screened by damn rivet who not only let him wind up to the fullest, he decides not to block the shot.
I totally agree with your comments especially re Rivet. This is so unusual for him seeing he has been one of the top D for the Habs this year. Again Ribs was on the ice way too long in a number of instances and I think Ryder did the same once(probably thought if Ribs can do it, so can I). I usually don't critize Julien but tonight I have to. He shortened his bench to 3 lines, only playing the Murray line I believe once after the first period. The three lines were dead tired towards the end of the third period. Why would you not play 4 lines especially when they were playing well and Murray had scored in the first. The Habs played Tues night, travelled on Wednesday to a different time zone plus higher altitude, and had to play tonight against a very good skating team. Using your full bench would seem the best way to go.
Man, I'm getting so sick of Julien not having the guts to use all four lines. I think he's an excellent coach. And I've been outspoken about hoping he won't get fired. But use those rookies, because they've done so well. Especially when Koivu and Kovalev are out. Ribeiro-Dagenais are just not cutting it!
