we're in trouble when a guy like Dagenais plays more than 20 minutes in a game... i couldn't beleive it when i saw that. The guy can't skate, he can barely move on the ice. He's huge but afraid to get hit or go in front of the net. Don't tell me we have nothing better than him??? 'cause if it's the case, we may as well close shop for the year. And yet Perezhogin plays on the 4th line. And what is with this soft attitude of optional practice??

Well, they also had Streit on the fourth line (theoretically).  With all due respect, I'll take Dagenais.  But this all indicates a depth problem, big time.

I also don't see the Ryder-Ribeiro-Dagenais line synching anymore.  Yes, they're scoring what little offense we have right now, but last night I hardly saw any passes amongst them; it seemed to be every man for himself.  Even Ryder doesn't seem like he wants to be on the ice with the other two.

i found this after i read your post..

Dagenais: I see him working harder, but he makes only about three passes every four games, and that hurts the team. He's incredibly selfish. His shots from everywhere increase our shot total, and yes it does mean he gets a chance to score (you don't score if you don't shoot), but he needs to realize he's part of a team. C+

Ryder: One of his poorest efforts of the season. It was like he was on his own out there - he didn't look for his teamates much at all. A huge disappointment. D+

Ribeiro: Tries to do too much on his own and is completely unable to accomplish much since he's a) too slow, and b) too weak. There's no doubt his work ethic is infinitely better than it was last year. There's also no doubt that he's not adapting well to the new game. B-

i think he's behing generous with Dagenais and Ribeiro

It's almost like one of them publicly and unjustly insulted one of the others

Depth problems? I don't understand. We are missing 3 major minute-eaters (Koivu, Bonk, Kovalev). The problem is that we don't use guys like Perezhogin and Higgins enough.

Thats an optional practice after a week off and how many players showed up? One. Boulion. After a game like that there shouldn't be any optional practice.

On a better side it seems Kovy is just about ready to rejoin the teams full practice and Koivu is skating.

Bouillon should be promoted to the top twosome for tomorrow's game.  As for the rest, that makes two days in a row they didn't show up.  Unfortunately, the first was a game day.
