John- I said it at the beginning of the year and I will say it once again. With what we have in talent we are a 7th or 8th place team. Will we make the playoffs? Definately. I am going to shock everyone here by saying that perhaps it is time for a coaching change. Not because I feel that CJ is not a good coach. Quite the opposite. He will have a long and productive coaching career. However it is becoming painfully obvious to even moi, that this team is not playing with emotion and unfortunately, that rests on the coach's shoulders.

Do I think it is right? No. Ultimately these guys need to look in the mirror after Julien gets canned and wonder why they need a cheerleader and babysitter to get motivated. They are millionaires getting paid to do a job. Not Atom hockey players who shoudl need a coach to go in there and tell them to "win one for the gipper". A new coach will trun thinsg around for awhile because these guys will finally wake up and start to work. But the honeymoon will wear off and the same ugly warts will reappear on the team. Lack of a decent defence, no scoring and inconsistent goaltending. On a positive note, obviously And-O's wish that they work on the power play came true. It was much better last night. Unfortunately, dumb penalties cost us once again. Blame the refs, blame Julien, whatever you wish. But we have players consistently taking the same STUPID STUPID penalties. We are far enough into the schedule that these guys should "get it". If I see begin one more time take his hand off his stick and grab a guy I think I will go up there and cut it off. Markov, same thing.

Much has been said about why Julien does not play Pleks and Perez more. It is simple. Poor defensively. 2 goals last night were the direct result of Plekanec not picking up his man defensively. These kids are gifted offensively but right now are a defensive liability.

I think they eed to miss the playoffs. Sorry everyone. My point is, let them miss the playoffs and that should cause a shake up in these players.
