Theo once again not doing it...

Sorry johab, I think your defence of Theo is admirable but he truly sucks. Anaheim is one of the worst teams in the league with guys like Sykora not scoring in like forever and they happen to beat Theo, coincidence, I think not.

Unfortunately for Theodore, he is the highest paid player on the team and is expected to win games for the Habs. He is the goaltender, most important postion on the team and if he can't pull a win out when the Habs need it the most then he's not worth the skates he has on. We might as well dump his salary and have two average goaltenders and use the 16.5 million elsewhere.

If he's injured and can't play, just sit out and get better cause he's not helping the team as is.

I am not excusing the rest of the team for their brutal performance tonight, but on nights like this when the Habs need solid goaltending to lift them, they aren't getting it from the big $ man. He's supposed to be our MVP, the guy you can count on to make the save when you need it most and that's just not happening.

Even when Sak and Kovy come back, with the goaltending we are getting right now we are in a world of hurt and might be fighting for a playoff spot come March. This year looked good before it started and through the first quarter but the problems were masked because we had a lot of scoring. Now that the scoring has dried up, we can see our main weakness is in nets and that should be the last place we are weak considering the dollars that are being spent there.

Did you watch the game... or listen to it... or look at the stats?

Watched a good portion of it and don't need to look at the stats to see the rebounds Theo gives up and the goals that go in because of it.

Good goaltenders win games for their teams bottom line. Earlier in the season when Theo was letting in soft goals people said he was not seeing alot of rubber so he wasn't ready for the shots. What's his excuse now?

Just checked the stats and he made 32/37 saves which is about 86% save percentage.... Hmmmm.... Don't think that's worth $5+ million. Not on a Habs team who needs solid goaltending to win games...

Goaltending was part of the problem last night. But a very pourous defence who are slower than a walker race in the geriatric ward is a huge problem. Bouillon is a good dman but too slow. Souray..well he is back to being Souray. His mind is in LA LA land and it is painfully apparent that the new NHL is not being kind to Sheldon. Markov looked totally disinterested last night. Throw in stupid and I mean stupid, stupid penalties and costly times and you have a recipe for a loss. When will guys like Begin and Souray get it in their thick skulls that you cannot take one hand off yoru stick now and grab a guy?!??

By the way did anyone catch Dagenais draw a penalty in the second period with his blazing speed?!? The guy had to haul him down in front of the net (sarcasm here). Not to worry Johab, I expect the topic to switch here from Theo sucks to fire the coach anytime.

I like CJ, but at least it's within our power to fire him to stimulate things.

Go ahead and put Theo on the block, and listen to the winter wind howling through the empty trading house.

Potvin used to make big bucks in Laff land, and he's now testing barcoloungers at Dave's chair-o-rama in Binghamton, NY

Gotta agree with you on this one ..Theo was left hung out to dry by his teamates last night. 20 shots in the first period? HELLLOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Does anyopne know where w ecan get a couple of defencemen that actually look like they belong in the NHL?!?? Caus I tell you, I do not see any in a habs uni right now except Rivet and Markov. It goes quickly downhill after that boys.

Rivet/Markov have had very good seasons.  I thought Souray played fairly well last night, but Boullion's lack of size was really apparent, I'm not sold on him at all.  Komisarek didn't look good, seemed lost at times.

The Habs defence is not a stellar group.  If they could just learn how to get the puck out quickly, but that's hard to do when they're constently being beaten to the puck by speedy wingers.

The Mtl club really is starting to look like that 21st ranking from TSN . . . where has our speed gone from the start of the season???

Julien has some work cut out for him, not sure he can handle it . . . I agree with what someone stated earlier somewhere on this board . . . a new coach would lite a fire, but then what happens 6 weeks down the road when the team starts to take games off again.

The answer, I believe, belongs with Gainey.  We'll see what miracles he can work in the next 1 2/3's years.
