MONTREAL – Canadiens GM Bob Gainey announced Friday that forward Garth Murray has been recalled from the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
Murray, 23, has played in 26 of the Bulldogs’ 27 games in 2005-06, collecting one goal and one assist (1-1-2) and 46 penalty minutes. Murray was been recalled by the Canadiens on Dec. 3, and dressed for the game against Los Angeles that same night.
The 6-foot-2’, 213-pound centre was acquired by the Canadiens from the New York Rangers in return for forward Marcel Hossa on September 30, 2005. He was chosen in the third round (79th overall) by the New York Rangers in the 2001 Entry Draft. In his 20 NHL games with the Rangers, all in 2003-04, Murray had one goal and 24 penalty minutes.

I am hoping he gets a chance to redeem himself for that slow water bottle pass last week. I will be watching
