The running joke continues at TSN

What does the S stand for in TSN ... Ah, yes, the brown word

A joke indeed.  Our record is almost identical to the #2 team (Phillie).  There's even a team listed ahead of us with a losing record.  We're 15-7-5 for crying out loud!

OK, perhaps we're not as good as the record suggests, but #21 is ridiculous. BOOOOOOOOOOOO

I do understand the guys system, but the fact that he has to defend it so much throughout his column proves it is flawed.  Montreal isn't a top 10 team, I'll give him that, but even when they were he had them in the teens.  I prefer the cbssportsline.com ranking.  They seem to be very unbiased.  This guy, a Habs hater, is a joke.  Buffalo wint 9 of 11 and they get shafted.  He's really an idiot.  He gets bashed so hard it's almost pitiful.

Phoenix #5? Phoenix?

Minnesota ahead of us? Anaheim ahead of us? the Islanders ahead of us?

Ridiculous! Useless!

i think, realistically we are somewhere between 6-10 in the league.....i can even understand if he put us as low as maybe 14th or something along those lines but 21st.....you gotta be kidding, how could you say we are the 10th worst team in hockey when there are clearly many teams ahead of us that can't compete with us.............BS!

When I read power rankings, I've decided to only read TSN's when I want a good laugh, because theirs are always biased against the Habs, and differ completely from every other source.

Congrats on hitting the 100-post mark, Jedah.  You kind of snuck up on us!

Thanks, Nil! I still don't feel I post as much as I should, but that will hopefully change, especially with the busy schedule the boys are having in the upcoming weeks.

I dont even take those rankings seriously anymore. I check them just to laugh at how stupid that idiot is. Honeslt i dont get how he gets ANY of those teams where they are and by what statistics. Just another leaf fan working to piss us off.

Don't know . . . sure we have injuries, but every team has to deal with injuries throughout the year.  The fact remains we've given up more goals than we've scored, that to points to an average to slightly below average team.

Counting tonights game against Anaheim (after two periods it's 5-2 Ducks), we've been outscored 79-87 . . . continue that trend and we won't be winning more than we lose, that's for sure.

I'd say without Kovalev/Koivu we are definitely a 21st ranked team, probably worse.

I'd like to see their defninition of what a "power rating" is. Rating the Habs 21st seems a little harsh when you look at their record, doesn't it? You gotta give a team credit for finding a way to win -- even if it's a lot of one-goal victories or overtime wins. But any team that has allowed more goals than it's scored shouldn't be higher than the middle of the pack I don't think. And we're playing like it lately.

If I was going to give them a number based on their play tonight, it would be a big number 2, just like the on my dog took earlier tonight
